What is the difference between an estimate and firm quote?
The POST /quote endpoint with quote_type = estimate, should be used when you are only trying to get an idea of the exchange rates. You will be unable to take further actions with the quote_id in this case.
The POST /quote endpoint with quote_type = quote, these quotes can be and are mandatory for creating a trade. Please note, a firm quote is valid only for a short duration of time. After the time, it cannot be used to create a trade.
Are statements generated automatically or do we need to explicitly trigger them?
Statements should be generated using our Statements services.
We can generate statements in 3 formats, as a .PDF, as a .csv and as a SWIFT standard MT40.
We are currently working on a statement subscription service which can automatically generate and make statements available via sFTP. Coming soon!
Do you create transactions only when the payments have completed? Do you create transactions if the payment is in any other status?
Transactions are created for different events. One of them is for payment initiations. Only when the payment has reached its final state (COMPLETED, CANCELLED, REJECTED) is a corresponding transaction created.
What are the differences between Webhook events CreditIncomingTransaction and CreditTransaction?
CreditTransaction – Credit is made to a client’s account – Credit between Ebury client accounts or even the client balance.
CreditIncomingTransaction – Incoming funds into client’s account, it can be funds received from a third party (it means from a client of our client) or funds received from a client account in a different bank.
